Vision and Mission

“As part of the Korean War generation, I’m so grateful to the many nations that came to our country’s aid during such a time of need. I still carry with me the seed of hope that was planted by their sacrifice. That’s why my heart is devoted to the countless people around the world who long for such hope.”

~ Dr. Rebekah Kim, Founder

Our vision is to bring hope to where hope is most needed. Operating under the truism that with privilege comes responsibility, many of us feel we have been given much and so it seems like a natural extension of this acknowledgement to share in the overflow of our hearts, without pretension and condescension, but rather with love, humility, and the joy of service to our fellow human beings.

Although we have a broad-based mission to work in the fields of healthcare, education, and community development, our basic approach is local, organic, and embodied. We seek to serve and work alongside individuals and youth where they are at. More than financial support, Seed of Hope will draw upon an international network of health practitioners, primary and secondary educators, legal advisors, and development experts to deploy small-scale and replicable health and education programs in the community.
